Magic in Brisbane

The Great South East is a brilliant place to call home, but let’s not forget a few staple tourist attractions that still add a little ‘magic’ to a lap around the river city.
Magic! are the Canadian Band you’ll know from their hit song “Rude” and they’re on tour down under to promote their new album ‘Primary Colours’ with very limited down time. It’s their first time in Brisbane so Luke shows them a few icons like the Regatta Hotel.
Built in 1874 the grand lady of the Brisbane River has copped several floods and fire, but she still stands proudly to tell her story to visitors today. The Regatta’s proximity to the river also provides a great draw card for sightseers with a CityCat Terminal right across the street.
A CityCat is a fantastic way to see many of Brisbane’s sights in a very short amount of time. Further upstream from Coronation Drive is Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where the band are treated to a koala cuddle and some time with the kangaroos in the 5 acre roaming reserve.

Lone Pine is the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary with over 130 cuddly koalas and hundreds of other native animals including emu’s, dingos and Tasmanian devils. The car park also hosts Farmers Markets every Friday afternoon from 3pm.
