The heritage-listed Brisbane Arcade is one of the city’s oldest shopping destinations. It was built in 1923 and reflects the elegance of the art-deco era. It has long been known as the home of award-winning fashion designers, jewellers, antique and gift stores. Robert White Jewellers is the Arcade’s oldest tenant – a family run business of 40 years. Darb Couture is one of the awarded fashion houses that offer boutique wedding dresses and evening gowns. Room with Roses is a beautifully decorated sanctuary located on the gallery level serving up delicious lunches and their famous all day high-tea.
With 50 specialist retailers the Brisbane Arcade is a unique shopping experience. While it’s a lovely place to visit at any time of the year, it’s particularly delightful in Spring.
The entire centre will come alive from the 31st of August until the 6th of September for the Spring Flower Show. The walkways and shop facades will be adorned with all things floral and there’s a program of events happening during the celebration.
