Luttsy’s Great Day Out

We all know him as the Nova breakfast team’s larrikin, and now Luttsy is sharing his Great Day Out around Brisbane! It includes a bit of pampering, some seriously good seafood, and plenty of friends.

Spending three hours on air five times a week, one of the great things about his Nova gig is the fact he wraps things up by mid-morning — meaning he’s got the rest of the day to enjoy all the spoils that Brisbane has to offer.

First up, Bou’s For Men at Portside, where Luttsy gets his daily gossip… as well as his hair cut, of course.

Offering traditional barber-shop experiences, a visit here quickly proves it’s not just your average barber shop… with quality haircuts, wet-shave treatments and even a cut-throat razor lather shave.

Luttsy’s not the only familiar face you’ll see in the barber shop. Word on the street is the likes of NBA star Patty Mills, The Wolf of Wall Street and Broncos legend Jharal Yow Yeh are also regulars.

Onto lunch, and who better to enjoy it with than an Olympic gold medalist and world-record holder? Luttsy takes good friend Emily Seebohm along to enjoy the whole Noosa coral trout. (Check out Emily Seebohm’s very own Great Day Out here.)

The two gravitated toward each other thanks to their less-than-typical working hours and have formed a great friendship, regularly hitting Brisbane’s event scene alongside one another.

Jellyfish Restaurant at Eagle Street Pier is at the top of Luttsy’s list. Not only is the food among some of the freshest and best in the country, the views are second to none.

The restaurant offers up a unique dining experience with eight to 14 species of fresh fish to select from every day. The staff recommends the best way to cook and serve it, so all that’s left to do is enjoy.

Overlooking the Brisbane River from Kangaroo Point to the Howard Smith Wharves, it’s the perfect spot to wind up Luttsy’s perfect Great Day Out.
