Aria Award winner, Anthony Callea, has loved Queensland from an early age thanks to his family holidays to the region. He also got the chance to live in Brisbane for 10 weeks during the broadway hit, Greece, forming strong ties with the city over that time.
With partner, Tim, they enjoy escaping to Brisbane whenever the opportunity arises, to thaw out from the chill of his hometown Melbourne. Their favourite place to stay is The Valley Brisbane. During his Great Day Out, Anthony takes in the sights of Brisbane with an early morning run through Fortitude Valley and Teneriffe.
A quick freshen up before heading to James Street, a place he calls his one-stop-shop. With great restaurants and bars, Harveys in particular is his go-to. In fact, it was the first place he visited after a certain jungle stay back in 2016.
After lunch, a spot of shopping at his two favourite James Street shops, Calexico Man and Milu. Finally, the perfect end to the day at Cru Bar with a few cocktails – Espresso Martinis all round!
