It’s an awesome feeling. They say it is the perfect replication of free-falling, all with the comfort of knowing your instructor is right beside you.
iFly proudly say they fly everyone from age 3 to 103. Mike told us he has personally flown a lady in her 90s. How, you may ask? Well, the “flying” feeling is generated from 2,400 horsepower fans. The winds produced can hit 300 kilometres an hour, but the secret is that they are fully controllable. That means iFly pilots tailor the speed of the winds to suit each person flying, so there is very little impact on joints and bones.
iFly Gold Coast is one of four facilities in the country, with a brand new location just opened at Westfield Chermside in Brisbane.
