Horse Riding in the Hinterland

Horse Riding Hinterland is located within Thunderbird Park on Tamborine Mountain.

You’re promised magnificent scenery on these trail rides as you wind through the greenery of the rainforest and trace along creek banks. With 16 horses to choose from, all with their own individuality and loveable natures, you’re bound to find your four-legged match.

There are three trail rides varying in times from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.

The first is the 30 minute Trail Ride which ambles along Cedar Creek and around the Thunderbird Park vicinity. You can even clip clop under the Tree Tops Challenge, a sky high adventure ropes course.

The hour long ride is the Bush Ride. This trails along Thunderbird Parks mountain ridge and you’re likely to be greeted by the local wildlife (wallabies, kangaroos and goannas) as you take in the spectacular scenery.

Finally, the 90 minute trail ride is called the Hill Top Ride and takes you through the forest tracks up to the highlands. This ride offers the best views of the three trail rides as you take in the magnificence of the Great Diving Range.

Thunderbird Park, located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, has a plethora of activities suitable for all members of the family.
