Meet Brooke Styles – an uber cool social media maven from the Sunshine Coast. Just shy of 22, Brooke has made a name for herself around the world, with her carefully curated Instagram feed of beautiful, vibrant imagery, showcasing her life in Queensland. With over 120 000 adoring followers on Instagram alone, we figured we needed to meet her to find out where the social media superstar likes to hang out in South-East Queensland.
How did you start your social media career?
How I got into social media was from modelling. I started modelling back in 2013, and because back then, the best filter that you had was the Valencia filter, my top, high-quality modelling photos took Instagram by storm, and I got a lot of engagement straight away.
What do you love most about living in South-East Queensland?
The best thing about living in South-East Queensland definitely is the beaches. I lived in Bali for about two months and I had to come back because nowhere beats here.
What makes Brisbane’s fashion scene so special?
I think the best thing about Brisbane’s fashion scene, is that it is fast fashion, so it does not matter what you are in, it is going to be on trend at some point in time.
Where is your go-to spot for coffee?
My favourite place in Brisbane would have to be El Rosa; it would have to be the most perfect Instagram place ever. It is pretty pink, all me. My favourite place on the Sunshine Coast would have to be Decisions Cafe – they have my favourite beetroot lattes, which I thrive on.
Where is your favourite beach?
My favourite would have to be Noosa Main Beach. It is snorkelling and stand up paddle boarding approved, and everyone can have fun there, even the whole family. It has flat water, so you don’t have to worry about the kids in rough waves, it is just amazing.
Where is your favourite place to shop?
My favourite place to shop definitely would be Harbour Town. You can get all your specials there, you have your high-end brands down to Cotton On and all of your mainstream brands. It is amazing.
What is your favourite food?
My favourite food would have to be pizza, and that is because it is so versatile. You can have dessert pizza, you can have savoury pizza, and you can eat it with one hand.
What is your number one Instagram tip?
My number one Instagram tip definitely is to be consistent with your Instagram feed, and how much time you put into it.
