It’s normal to feel some nerves before giving a new sport a go, but there’s certainly no need when it comes to clay target shooting! Brisbane Gun Club in Belmont is where you can give it a shot (see what we did there?) and it’s located only 20 minutes from the CBD.
While clay target shooting is suitable for all levels of shooters, including beginners, you will need strong hand-eye coordination, great timing and extreme concentration… and no firearms licence. Yes, you read that right — no licence required! You have to be at least 11 years old and have some form of photo identification.
Clay shooting is becoming a more popular choice of sport, especially among the ladies, with more females getting involved than ever! If you’re keen to come and try, Brisbane Gun Club offers a range of different experiences suitable for every occasion:
- New shooters and coaching
- Bachelor and bachelorette parties
- Birthday parties
- Social group events
- Corporate events
A typical full package for the “come and try” experience consists of one-on-one coaching, ammunition, one round of 25 targets, hearing protection, gun hire and ranges for $80. This experience is only available on Saturdays! Head to the website for more information.
