Brisbane Fashion Month is the largest showcase of local designers of any event in the state. In other words, if you want to know all there is to know about Brisbane fashion, this is the place to find it!
Throughout October, lovers of fashion will be treated to 7 runway shows, networking events, workshops, as well as pop-up stores at Wintergarden and West Village! New additions to the 2019 calendar include illustration workshops, a sustainable fashion walking tour and a high tea event at Treasury Hotel.
Director, Laura Churchill, is proud to be in her fourth year of Brisbane Fashion Month.
“People are looking to shop locally and from designers that they can get to know and engage with,” explained Laura. “There’s just so much happening in Brisbane, so this is a great way to showcase that.”
2019 is all about celebrating Brisbane’s icons: the iconic architecture and changing face of the city alongside our iconic designers, old and new. Brisbane is evolving and our vibrant fashion scene is moving with it.
The iconic Treasury Hotel will host a high tea event in its picturesque courtyard, paired with a perfume masterclass by Libertine Parfumerie. There’s also something for the conscious shoppers.
This year, the Brisbane Fashion Month organisers have added Sustainable Fashion walking tours to the calendar. On October 5th, you’ll be able to join Brittanie Dreghorn on a guided walking tour of West End’s sustainable stores. Brittanie is the creator of “Britt’s List” – an online fashion publication, shining a light on sustainable and ethical Australian brands. During her tour, she’ll explain the ins and outs of sustainable and ethical fashion and shine a light on some of the brands working towards a more sustainable future in fashion.
There are plenty of fabulous events running throughout October 2019! So, get dressed to impress and book your tickets.
