Brisbane Dog Lovers Show

Dalmatian, dachshund, collie or corgi…No matter the breed – if you love dogs, you’ll want to high-tail it to Brisbane’s first Dog Lovers Show – on November 4 – 5 at the city’s showgrounds.
It’s been a big hit interstate – now Brissy is set to celebrate all things canine, with 150 exhibitors, a huge array of attractions, and more than 500 beautiful dogs on show.
There’ll be over 40 breed clubs represented by Dogs Queensland, 30 rescue groups, as well as talks, shows and entertainment.

While it is a show for dog lovers, the dogs themselves are certainly the stars…In fact, some of them have their own fan clubs.
Mocha The Toy Chocolate Poodle is certainly a magnet for the pupparazi. He’s one of the four-legged Instagram stars you’ll be able to meet at the Dog Lovers Show. The adorable rescue dog has 20,000 followers online, but before you label Mocha as the Kardashian of the canine world, there is another side to this poodle’s celebrity. He’s a Therapy Dog, with variety the Children’s Charity, helping to spread smiles at special schools, nursing homes and hospitals.

There’s no denying the bond between dogs and people can be powerful. Brisbane artist Stephen Gallagher was so moved by the plight of rescued dogs – he spent a year of his life capturing their souls on canvas. Stephen’s paintings of the 100 rescue dogs from the Animal Welfare League have been exhibited around the state, and most of the dogs have now found loving homes.
You’ll be able to meet Stephen and see his artistic tribute at Brisbane’s first Dog Lovers Show on November 4 – 5. There’s a huge array of attractions, shows, exhibits and hundreds of dogs! Make sure you checkout the full pooch-packed program online.
