Animal Welfare League

You’re sure to find the pet of your dreams at Animal Welfare League Queensland – an organisation that cares for up to 800 animals at a time. The league, which originated on the Gold Coast, now runs four re-homing centres in south-east Queensland – including its largest centre at Coombabah.

The aim of AWLQ is to find safe and happy homes for all animals in its care – a menagerie that includes cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rats, chickens and livestock!

Not only does the league invite people to adopt its animals, the AWLQ is always on the lookout for volunteers and foster carers.

For those who already own a pet, holidays can present the challenge of finding suitable accommodation for furry or feathered family members who need to be left at home.

Hanrob Pet Hotel is Brisbane’s newest and flashiest option for pets ‘on holiday’! Think air conditioned suites with chandeliers and televisions plus the option for limousine transport for you and your pet.

The hotel also offers standard accommodation for cats and dogs, as well as a free pet shuttle service.
