Where to eat on the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast has become a real contender on the national dining scene, with locals and visitors spoilt for choice when it comes to new swanky bars and restaurants.

The Burleigh Pavilion Beach Bar has become a very popular hang to sit back, relax and watch the waves roll in.  It also has a more formal full-service restaurant at the northern end of the building, called The Tropic. That’s where you can see head chef Guillaume Zika and his team in action in the open kitchen, and watch meals being created in your front-row seat.

If you want to dine even closer to the water, then jump aboard the YOT Club. It’s a purpose-built super-yacht entertainment venue that came to life right on the Gold Coast. It has ticketed events on weekends, or you can hire it out for your own private event.

Hyde Paradiso is one of the newest swanky bars that has opened right on Surfers Paradise Esplanade. Channelling its sister venues over in LA, Las Vegas and Miami, you can definitely feel the celebrity vibe. It offers a delicious Mediterranean-inspired tapas menu along with cocktails created by award-winning bartender Tim Philips, along with some larger-than-life share drinks.
