Scenic Rim Eat Local Week showcases the food, farmers, and natural beauty of the Scenic Rim region through a program of festivals, farmgate events and culinary experiences.
The Overflow Estate 1895 is a beautiful boutique vineyard lapped on three sides by the peaceful waters of Lake Wyaralong, and it’s just one of the many stunning locations where you can enjoy the region’s fine food and wine during Eat Local Week.
David Morgan and his wife Noeleen consider themselves “custodians” of this historic property and in 2010 planted a vineyard growing Mediterranean varietals. They have recently opened a Cellar Door on the property where people can come and sample their wines whilst enjoying the stunning surrounds.
During Eat Local Week, chef Javier Codina, from Brisbane restaurant Moda, will be serving up the flavours of Spain during ‘Moda in the Vines’ on Sunday July 8. All ticketing information is available online.
