The Ekka is almost here!

The Ekka has been running since 1876 and this year it is promising to be bigger and better than ever. There’s world class entertainment, creatures great and small. Food and wine. Side show alley. And show bags!

There’s also plenty that’s new this year including The Ekka’s first ever cooking school. It’s on in the Woolworths Fresh Food Pavilion and is led by Chef Daniel abou-Chedid.

There will be sixty free classes over the ten days of the show. Each class seats twenty people at their very own cooking station. That means 1200 visitors get to brush up on their culinary skills, no matter their level of experience.

The ever popular EkkaNites will be bringing the wow factor this year with fireworks and much more. The two-hour nightly show begins at 6pm and country music legend Adam Brand will also be performing.

This year there’s plenty that’s new including remote control cars strapped with pyros that will zoom around the arena at over 100kms per hour.

This year the Ekka will be reducing prices for the first time in fifteen years. Family tickets are now just $80, ten percent cheaper than last year. For all the details and to book your tickets head to www.ekka.com.au.
