Tasting Toowoomba’s Treats

Ground Up Espresso Bar

This laneway coffee hot spot has become a real coffee institution of Toowoomba. Surrounded by the typical Toowoomba graffiti walls, with its recycled furniture, it all fuses to create a very funky atmosphere.

4 Brothers Brewing

Adrian Cubit heads up this small batch craft brewery offering nine regular beers including a pumpkin ale, coffee porter and a must-try smoked beer. Then there are the one-offs such as blueberry beer and caramel slice!

Picnic Point Café

A must-do on any Toowoomba trip, the views alone are second-to-none, but if you do happen to have a bite to eat, Chef Nick Harth uses local produce on the menu. What a special thing to be able to have a meal and look down over the region from whence it came.

Metiisto Chocolate

This artisan chocolate factory originated in Sweden and recently won gold at the Australia Food Awards for the best ‘bean to bar’ chocolate factory in Australia. Visit chocolate maker Trevor Smith who happily explains the complexity involved in making that perfect bar of chocolate, and of course a taste test is in order.
