The Kitchens Robina Town Centre

The Kitchens on the Gold Coast is described as an urban marketplace where culinary artisans, chefs, providores, and food lovers come together.

The newest addition to Robina Town Centre, The Kitchens is a 160-million-dollar food playground that’s very much about ‘back of house becoming front of house’. Curator, Daniel West, believes customers want to see what goes on behind the scenes, as they connect more closely to their food and its origins.

Daniel says it’s important for food lovers to find everything they want in the one location.

“We’ve got our baker, we’ve got our butcher, we’ve got our fishmonger, we’ve got our fruit and veg here, we’ve got our poultry specialist… as well as your up late restaurants.”

The Kitchens opens seven days a week. Live cooking demonstrations happen every Thursday and Saturday at 11am and 1pm.

Resident chef, Sam Gowing, is inspired by produce from the daily market – using seasonal ingredients and encouraging people to do the same at home.

“I think Australia’s going through an incredible resurgence in their love of food. It’s radiating right up and down the east coast.”
