It’s that time of year, where the combination of sunshine and cool breezes entices people to head outdoors, and the glorious thing about the Great South East is that you can either drift into the country, or be lured to the water.
The Gold Coast sparkles at this time of year and Sanctuary Cove is a popular place to while away a few hours on an autumn afternoon or spend the entire day!
There’s everything from retail to resorts, eateries to entertainment, and visitors can shop til they drop. But the jewel in the crown would have to be the Marina.
With over 260 kilometres of navigable waterways, that’s nine times more waterways than Venice, The Gold Coast really is a boating paradise.
Every year the Marine Village is transformed to welcome hundreds of boats and thousands of visitors for their signature event – the annual Sanctuary Cove International Boat show.
It’s on again from the 25th of May and will feature all things marine – from paddle boards, gadgets and gear, Jetski’s, tenders, trailer boats, all the way up to luxury cruisers and everything in between.
There’ll be over 300 exhibitors from around the world and a full line-up of action on and off the water, including events for the whole family! The popular women on water events are back again and the High Tea on the High Seas cruise is always a hit. There’ll also be fishing competitions and events to lure in the keen anglers.
The whole village comes alive during the 3 day event, even the retailers and restaurants get involved, including Black Angus Bar and Grill, who are famous for their hot-stone, cook-at-your-table steaks.
