Queensland Air Musuem

The Queensland Air Museum has a large collection of Australian military and passenger aircraft, dating back to the early 20th century.

On July 1st and 2nd, the museum is holding its annual “Open Cockpit Weekend” where visitors will get the chance to climb into the cockpits of classic aircraft.

Volunteers will also demonstrate the awesome power of the museum’s historic flying machines by starting up aircraft engines – music to the ears of avid aviation fans!

“Open Cockpit Weekend” will be a family-friendly event with a jumping castle and fun food to appeal to the kids.

Family tickets are available for $36 each.
