Little Lifesavers

Junior lifesavers, or nippers, have been learning surf awareness and safety since the 1960s. Today there are over 40,000 nippers training to become lifesavers. For kids who don’t live near the coast, and want to be Nippers, they can become little lifesavers instead.

Little Lifesavers is a unique program designed to give ‘suburban’ kids and families a taste of what being a nipper is all about.

The Brisbane ‘Little Lifesavers’ program takes place at Streets Beach at South Bank and runs during school term and during school holidays. It’s open to children aged between 5-11.
