Bardon Special Finds

The inner Brisbane western suburb of Bardon has a strong community ethos and that’s reflected in some of the businesses that service families in the area.

Logical Unsanity Bookshed in Morgan Terrace is open 24/7, and for that reason it uses an honesty box system so customers can take their time browsing, and then self-serve. The Karobean Café is just next door.

Beans on the Green is set up beside the Bardon Bowling Club on Bowman Parade, and it is a popular coffee stop that is outdoors and very welcoming of little children and dogs.

Neighbourhood Coffee Roasters has reinvigorated an abandoned general store at 58 Rainworth Road. Owners Alex and Stephanie Ridgway lovingly restored the old building and included some of its bric-a-brac in the décor. Alex roasts his own coffee, and Stephanie tends a beautiful vegetable patch out the back, which is a favourite spot for customers to make themselves comfortable.
