If you have a penchant for pastels, a serious sweet-tooth, or a killer Instagram feed, you will love Brisbane’s latest pop up, Sugar Republic.
Tucked away in the back of the Valley Metro, Sugar Republic is an interactive, sugar-themed museum that celebrates all things sweet through 12 sensory spaces.
If you have always dreamed of exploring Willy Wonka’s factory, then this is the next best thing.
When you enter the Museum, you are instantly overwhelmed by giant rainbow beach balls and fruit hanging from the ceiling. It is a sweet little glimpse of what is to come.
With interactive activities along the way, including a ‘spin for a treat wheel’, you hit a giant bubble gum machine, that you can climb inside.
Naturally, there are some edible sweet treats too, just in case you get hungry among all the candy.
Around the next corner, is a giant birthday cake that visitors can climb inside. It is a barrel of fun, with a ‘press for confetti’ button that makes the experience even more special.
The final activity is a huge bubble-gum pink ball pool, complete with pool floaties on top. It is fully-interactive, so you can dive right in for a swim among the balls, just try not to sink too deep!
Sugar Republic is the perfect school holiday activity, with kids (and kids at heart) bound to have endless fun navigating their way through the spaces.
Sugar Republic will be in Brisbane until the 21st October. Bookings are essential, with sessions lasting one hour.
