Modern Italian dining hot spot, Il Verde is now holding Italian wine tours.
Owner, Ibrahim Haddid said the Italian wines they will showcase in the restaurant cannot be found in bottle shops.
“The Italian wine tour happens every night and every two weeks the wine special will change,” he said. “Our customers when they come, they enjoy a sustainable wine, organic, and also it matches with our menu from mains to pizza and pasta.”

The Italian restaurant, located in Bowen Hills is always a hive of activity, famous for its decadent cheese dishes.
Highlights include the show-stopper pasta stirred up in the wheel of parmigiano reggiano and the wood-fired bread topped with melted cheese.

Il Verde offers up all the Italian classics from beautiful al dente pasta to risotto, gnocchi, pizza and the freshest of salads – all made with locally sourced ingredients.
Il Verde Specials
Slice of Sunday – $20 pizzas available with any drink purchase. The wood-fired pizzas are made with Il Verde’s house made Italian sauce and the freshest of ingredients.
Take the Wheel – $45pp. Every Tuesday and Thursday, restaurant goers can enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival, entree of focaccia and polenta chips, pasta served from the famous cheese wheel, glass of red or white finished off with the chef’s special Panna Cotta.
Death by Cheese – $55pp. They call it “a cheesier extension of the ‘Take the Wheel’ special” where diners can enjoy a cheese raclette entree (wood-fired bread topped with melted cheese), followed by the wheel cheese pasta, glass of red or white and again finished off with the chef’s special panna cotta.
