The Gold Coast Art Scene

We all know and love the Gold Coast for its beautiful beaches, but did you know the region is fast becoming a creative hub thanks to its flourishing art scene?

We’ve compiled a selection of arty must-do’s on the Gold Coast.

SWELL Sculpture Festival (14 to 23 September)

This September marking its 16th year, SWELL brings amazing sculptures onto the beach for ten days of awe inspiring artistic flare. Aside from the sculptures, there’s a range of unique activities including guided twilight walks, artist talks and even workshops.

The Gold Coast’s emerging art scene is thanks in part to the growing number of galleries and studios.

The Dust Temple

This magnificent art space is uniquely set amongst industry… in fact the building was an old warehouse. Now boasting a café (and famously great coffee) and a bar, it’s the perfect spot to spend a few hours observing the stunning art on display. Personally, we think the interior design is a feature on its own!
