Brenda Fawdon

Brenda Fawdon is a real-food advocate and cookbook author. Along with her business partner, she opened the first fully licensed organics restaurant in Australia, Mondo Organics.

Brenda has co-authored the Eat Local – Food, Farming and Conversations in the Scenic Rim cookbook. She after the success of the first edition, she is currently working on the second book.

She has lived in the Scenic Rim on Tamborine Mountain for seven years and as she says, “It ticks all her boxes.”

Her Sunday morning ritual involves waking up early to see the sun rise and then sourcing her weekly produce from the Green Shed – a not-for-profit venture that supports local farmers and provides visitors and residents with the opportunity to purchase directly from growers.

Once the shopping basket is full you might find Brenda taking in the breathtaking view at the Canungra Hand Gliders launch, only a short walk away.
