Comm Games Update

In just 4 months’ time, the 2018 Commonwealth Games will hit the streets of the Gold Coast. Cedric Dubler is one of the 6000 athletes who will participate in the games next year. Full time Australian Olympic Decathlete, part time YouTube vlogger, Cedric started his passion for video blogging to gain confidence talking to the camera.

His journey has progressed from vlogging everyday life, to showing what it takes to be a professional athlete. He plans to give his viewers an inside look at the games next year, but in the meantime he’s given us a gander of one of 3 new state-of-the-art venues. The new Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre will host badminton, powerlifting, wrestling and the weightlifting…but up until then, it’s open to the community for basketball, volleyball, netball and futsal.

When you’re a professional athlete a heavy training schedule goes hand in hand with a healthy appetite and Elk Espresso in Broadbeach serves up a hearty breakfast for champions – it’s a favourite hangout for Cedric and will no doubt be popular come Games time.

The final major release of tickets go on sale midday, 20th November, Australian Eastern Standard Time. You can purchase your seats to the Games through the GC2018 website.
