Sally Pearson’s Great Day Out

Olympian and Current World Champion in the 100 metre hurdles, Sally Pearson lives on the Gold Coast with her husband, Kieran. While her days are mostly dedicated to training, there are a few things she loves to do when there’s free time floating around.

Most days kick off with a coffee at a beautiful bakehouse in Southport called 5B2F (in case you’re wondering what that stands for, it’s ‘5 Bread, 2 Fish’ – meaning it’s a small bakery that aims to feed everyone). Cabinet treats are made fresh daily, from warm croissants, to cakes and cupcakes.

Another favourite spot where Sally loves to spend her time is at any of the Village Roadshow theme parks dotted around the coast. Given her love of animals and adrenaline, Sea World seemed like the perfect day trip for us to tag along to.

The ‘Sea Jellies Illuminated’ exhibit has recently opened at Sea World and is a must visit when you’re spending time at the park. No doubt you’ll be mesmerised by the illuminated sea jellies! For some fun, visitors can get to know some of the incredible dolphins that call Sea World home. And if you’re up for a dose of adrenaline, why not jump on board one of the rides?
