Exploring Brisbane by Bike with CityCycle

Whether you’re just visiting Brisbane, or you’re a longstanding local, a great way to explore the city is by bike with CityCycle.

It’s eco-friendly, active and affordable!

You’ve probably seen the CityCycle stations around town (there are 150 of them) but the bikes have had a revamp. No longer yellow, they’re now blue!

Something that hasn’t changed is the ease of hiring. You can purchase a membership or casual pass online, punch in the code and away you go!

There are kilometres of bike-friendly paths throughout the city and it’s pretty flat for easy riding.

Some must-stop spots throughout the city include:

  • The Brisbane sign at South Bank
  • The Gardens Club Café in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens
  • Howard Smith Wharves
  • Brisbane River Walk
  • New Farm Park
  • Brisbane Powerhouse

With 2,000 bikes across the inner city, you can hire and return 24 hours a day. With membership only $5 a month or a casual pass only $2, there really is no excuse not to take advantage of this environmentally friendly way to explore Brisbane.
