Brisbane’s BIGSOUND Music Festival 2019

Brisbane has been the incubator for a slew of internationally-recognised musicians and bands – think The Go Betweens, The Saints, Regurgitator, Violent Soho – and, of course, Powderfinger.

So, it’s no surprise that the city is host to one of the most important events on the Australian music industry calendar – BIGSOUND.

BIGSOUND is about sharing ideas and discussing developments that will shape the future of Australian music.

Eighteen years strong, the event brings together musicians, record executives and global music heavyweights.  And it provides a platform for up-and-coming artists working hard to make their mark in this competitive industry.

Throughout the festival, young hopefuls have the chance to share their sound with industry leaders and talent spotters.

But you don’t have to be a performer to play a part in BIGSOUND.

Music fans of all ages get the benefit of live performances by more than 150 artists at 18 very cool venues – all within three city blocks in Fortitude Valley.

This year, the festival and think-tank covers four big days from the 3rd to the 6th September, inclusive.

Grab a ticket and take your seat to discover the next big thing in contemporary Australian music at BIGSOUND.
